Los Chinese

Los Chinese is a group founded by Chihoe Hahn.  Chihoe sings and plays acoustic guitar.  By day he runs Hahn Guitars.  Patrick Stanfield Jones is a multi-genre musicians who has  played with the likes of the Isley Brothers, and has shared the stage with Buddy Miles, Taj Majal, Guy  Clark, Townes Van Zandt and countless others.  For this record, Patrick plays bass, and harp. Craig Sheppard covers the drums and harp in many outfits in Northern New Jersey, and in Rockland and Orange Counties in New York.  He has played in the TMU Band with Tim O'Donohue, and on this record keeps flawless time with his unique gift for feel and expression.  Andy Stack is a prolific guitarist, singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer.  Here, Andy plays all electric guitars and keyboards and provides the backing vocals.  

This record "Los Chinese" was recorded live in three hours... that's live vocals, rhythm guitars, guitar solos,  bass and drums... just the band as it sounded that day.  The guys had played a few gigs and initially went into the studio to just play and record themselves playing live, with no setlist and no intention of making a record.  

It sounded really good!, so Andy went back and made it into a record.   He went back to the tapes and singularly sculpted the parts and sounds to make this a coherent record. He added extra guitars, keyboards and vocals.  He then got Adrien Reju to add her brilliance with a backing vocal on Home of the Blues.  

Andy mixed it, Scott Hull mastered it, and the record we have here was born.  We hope you enjoy it!
